SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE, COLLEGE OF FINE AND APPLIED ARTS
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

The School of Architecture is seeking applications and nominations for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor position in Practice and Technology to begin Fall, 2003.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include teaching Practice Management or Technology courses such as: Architectural Practice Management & Business in Architecture, Economic Issues in Development, Design and Constructability, and/or Building Systems & Design Integration. The successful candidate is expected to be active in conducting research and responsible for coordinating a graduate option. Other responsibilities include: design studio reviews, research/creativity, committee assignments, and public service.

OPPORTUNITIES: Candidates must be highly motivated and dedicated individuals who will take advantage of the University of Illinois' resources, which include one of the country's largest university library systems, world renowned computer facilities, and a collaborative research environment with access to associated research programs. Research & travel funding is available from the university and college for new faculty proposals.

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a MArch degree with either a professional registration or a Ph.D. Professional experience is required. Teaching experience, MBA, or MSCE are desirable. These qualifications do not exclude candidates with exceptional research, teaching, or scholarship qualifications from applying. The School of Architecture is comprised of four teaching faculties-Design, Architectural Structures, Practice & Technology, and History & Preservation-and a research faculty-Building Research Council-. The School of Architecture offers BSAS, MArch, and Ph.D. degrees.

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
